Family camping trip.

We had about 2 days last weekend to completely spend together. TOGETHER. NO WORK, NO CELL RECEPTION, JUST US.

It was pretty great. I have been mentally preparing myself for homeschool life in the fall next year so I wanted to test out a few of the things/lessons we will be doing in homeschool and this short trip was the perfect place to do it. I will go into why we are homeschooling next year in another post sometime soon… I honestly just don’t have time (or the mental endurance to type out words) to go into it for this post. I will say though, that it was completely Jesus. It was not part of the plan and I will need His help every second of this homeschool experience BUT I am super excited about it!

One of the main goals of our homeschool program is to enjoy and study nature. You look at the world around you, talk about it, ask questions, and even draw and write about your explorations and findings. We got to put this in to practice and my little creative artist heart is exploding with every new page the kids draw in their nature journals. Even if you don’t plan on ever homeschooling, I strongly encourage you to do this with your children! It is so rewarding!

Here is our sweet little weekend.

I made a little video of our hike too. It is super cute so if you aren’t tired of looking at my kids, check it out! Lol!! Thanks for letting me share some of my personal life with you!
